I have not been a runner for that many years and I know that I will never be a fast runner, but I am very happy when my times are faster than previous races I've done. I tend to get that "runner's high". I was extremely proud of my brother's marathon this year because I know that he worked really hard for it. There are so many runners out there who put a lot of effort into their training to reach a certain goal....but where is the satisfaction in wearing someone else's chip in a race? The easy way to get in their 9 races? An easy way to get to Boston? I just don't get it.
