I suggest this inquiry be directed to both the NYRRC and to Vic Navarrra's Events Management Group (he administers the race)--one can google both to get the appropriate e-mail addresses for contact, or call at the phone numbers listed--it would be more interesting to find out, pre-race, what they have to say on this topic
