Canova sets the Wagner College School Record for 1000 meters at Bucknell. Acevedo win's the Women's 5k.

Anthony Canova set the Wagner College school record for 1000 meters yesterday at the Bucknell meet in Lewisburg, Pa. Canova, who finished seventh overall, set the record with a time of 2:32.30. The previous record of 2:33.20 was set in 1982.

Karina Acevedo of Wagner finished first in the women's 5k at Bucknell with a time of 18:6.83.

The women's 4X800 relay team took second with an overall time of 9:57.91. Veronica Caruso(2:30.80), Jen Merschoff(2:27.30), Karina Acevedo(2:31.60), and Wendy Roth(2:30.00) competed for the Wagner team.

The women's 4 x 400 team of Ann Rossittini, Amy Lisojo, Jen Merschoff and Tina Huggler finished sixth in 4:33.51.

Patricia Bernard was third in the shot put with a throw of 38 feet, 7 3/4 inches. Tara Coppola was fifth in the high jump with a jump of 4 feet 10 inches. Angelica Iannone was fifth in the 20 pound weight throw with a distance of 42 feet, 9 inches.

The Men's 4 x 800 relay team took sixth place with an overall time of 8:14.46. The team members were Dominck Tursi(2:03.00), Chris Fekete(2:01.60), Mike Poole(2:08.40), and Anthony Canova(2:01.8).

Scott Geissler took third place in the men's high jump with a jump of 6 feet, 1 inch.

In the 55 meter run Mao Mason finished fifth overall in 6.78 and Jaron Cunning finished sixth in 6.80.
