3 Mile Fun Run

At the 2nd race in the Steve Lauria Fun Run Series, his presence was with us. The sun felt like a warm embrace from up above. With little humidity, it was a great running day.
As Richie and I tried to set up the clock at the 1 mile mark, the leaders whizzed by us seemingly with little effort. The Cassidy brothers recorded fast times as did Superman Scott LaMorte (a fun run regular). Terry Ballou, looking strong and steady was the overall female winner.
The 1 mile marker turned into the 200 meter hurdle event as Gus Stanzione leaped over the marker and clock. Fredo, who was running with him, wisely chose not to attempt the hurdle. Gus later mentioned to me that he was going to hurdle over Mary at the 2 mile mark, but instead chose to leap over the marker. I'm sure Mary was grateful for his decision.
Little Jerry Seinfeld - A.K.A. Geraldo (the rooster) was missing this morning. Angela Conte pointed out that he has not been seen all week. If anyone has information leading to the disappearance of Little Jerry, please contact us. Somehow the fun run is not the same without his very loud crowing.
