Twenty-five runners registered times on this cold, sunny Saturday morning in Clove Lakes Park. Luis Oyola led the men in a strong 17:47 followed by the improving Gene Galasso in 18:44. Third place was shared by Gus Stanzione and Richie Orazem in 19:17. The women's field featured a tie for first between 11-year-old Christine Connelly and 53-year-old Barbara Byrne in 20:11. Third place honors go to Ellen Brennan-Hearn in 23:53. Rakibat Abiola ran strong but did not record a time.

The Fun Run was followed by the official re-measurement of the three-mile course. A new starting line was established, 68 feet in front of the old one, and the course has been marked off in quarter-mile intervals. For all those who have run the "old" course over the years, please be advised that the 68-foot difference has been calculated to deduct 5 seconds off your time. Enjoy them!
