3 Mile Fun Run

The sun was out, the humidity was low, the wind was calm, but our hearts were heavy today as we marked the 3rd anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

"It's not about running today..." Ernie Beach began before the Solidarity Run, "it's about being together and remembering those who cannot be here in the park with us, and also remembering everyone in Pennsylvania and Washington D.C." Those are just some of the profound words that Ernie spoke today. It was so great to see a very large number of runners come out today and run as one group. It shows that the running community has a special spirit that was evident today as well as throughout the entire year.

Never, ever forget 09/11/2001. Remind yourselves every single day that life is so very precious and should not be taken for granted. Keep your families and friends close to you always and be grateful for everything you have in life because tomorrow is not promised to anyone young or old.
