MIke Cassidy and Gail Marino posted victories at the weekly SIAC Run for Fun at Clove Lakes Park. Cassidy covered the three mile course in 15:47, with Scott LaMorte a distant second in 17:24. Anthony Pitarresi (17:57), Billy Marshall (18:14) and Luis Oyola (18:15) rounded out the top five overall.
Marino won the women's race in 20:25, while Almas Ramos finished second in 21:47. Barbara North (22:09), Ellen Brennan Hearn (22:23) and Mary Molski (22:28) were third through fifth for the women.
The race was the final installment in the Steve Lauria Memorial Series for 2004. Scott LaMorte and Gail Marino captured first place in the series for the men's and women's divisions, respectively.
