3 Mile Fun Run

Vin Stasi and Gail Marino were the male and female winners of the weekly SIAC sponsored Fun Run under very warm and humid conditions. "Shirts off" was the finishing theme for most of the male finishers with the temperature at 80 degrees and humidity around 90%.
Seventeen year old Vin Stasi easily won the mens race in 17:55 holding off Fun Run regular Luis Oyola who finished in 18:43. Tim McCauley finished third in 19:45.
Gail Marino (20:44) sprinted out Danielle LaMagra (20:45) in the last 50 yards to record yet another Fun Run victory. Maggie McCauley finished in third with 25:08.
The light turn out of 26 runners was attributed to the running of the "Club Team Championships" 5 miler in Central Park where a contigency of SIAC runners made the trek to the city to brave the brutal running conditions.
