Francisco Perez and Gail Marino were the winners in the weekly SIAC Run for Fun at muggy Clove Lakes Park. The race served as the third installment in the Steve Lauria Memorial Series, with the final race to be run on August 28 at 9 a.m.
Perez covered the three mile course in 15:58, outlasting second place Shawn Williams (16:28). Anthony Canova (17:59), Anthony Pitarresi (18:00) and Mario Ricca, Jr. (18:13) rounded out the top five overall finishers.
Marino won the women's race in 20:37, with Alma Ramos second in 21:10. Barbara North (22:17), Ellen Brennan Hearn (22:23) and Natasha Rodney (22:24) were third through fifth for the women.
