Dean Grusky and Mary Molski easily posted victories at the weekly SIAC Run for Fun at Clove Lakes Park. Grusky covered the three mile course in 16:56, with Stephen Hook (17:26) and Richie Orazem (17:27) second and third, respectively. Rich Gilberto (17:58) and Scott LaMorte (18:30) rounded out the top five.

Molski won the women's race in 24:37, outlasting second place Jill Goodacre (25:11). Lisa Rigolini (27:12), Gabriella Annetta (29:22) and Ruth Fairbrother (30:21) were third through fifth.

Dean Grusky and Mary Molski were easy winners today, as Mary was the chief beneficiary of Gail Marino dropping out with asthma problems. Gail is fine, but thought it wise not to push it. Dean took an early commanding lead and never looked back. Next to finish was Steve Hook and Richie Orazem, who ran together over the last loop, with Richie yielding to Steve in a sportsmanlike move at the finish.

The most dramatic moment came with the first-time battle of the canines, Dutchess from the house of Gabriella Annetta and Fido from the house of Ruth Fairbrother. Dutchess prevailed in a stirring, but friendly duel. But Ruth holds Fido back somewhat, so we may not know who is truly faster!

Congrats to Mike Carullo for a personal best 22:20. We're sure that time will steadily drop, as Mike is only 12.
