Paul Stasiewicz and Gail Marino were the winners at the weekly SIAC Run for Fun at Clove Lakes Park. Stasiewicz covered the three-mile course in 17:45, with A-Born Etchison second in 18:59 and Gene Galasso third in 20:03.

Marino won the women's division in 21:48, with Alma Ramos second in 22:30 and Ruth Fairbrother third in 27:30.

We were blessed today with the presence of the ever-exuberant and energetic Staten Island Special Olympics team. The group was very happy with their respective times, and we hope to see them more often in the future.

Today's race had a relatively light turnout, coming off the brutally hot Pepper Martin run just two days earlier. We hope to see a good turnout for next Saturday's second leg in the Steve Lauria Memorial Fun Run series. Usual 9AM starting time, so please come on out.
