Steve Woitkowski and Ruth Fairbrother recorded victories at the weekly SIAC Run for Fun at Clove Lakes Park. Woitkowski covered the three-mile course in 19:10, with Anthony Pitarresi second in 19:47 and Sean Dixon third in 20:44.

Fairbrother won the women's division in 28:15, besting Lisa Rigolini (28:29) and Marie Garone (36:24).

Today's race is a prelim to tomorrow's Scott's Race, so the field was light and the running was very conservative. The runners showed great discipline, even as I exhorted them from behind the bulllhorn to break a sweat.
