Douglas Auer and Kristin Farley coasted to victories at the weekly SIAC Run for Fun at Clove Lakes Park. Auer covered the three-mile course in 16:53, pulling away in the second half of the race from second place Scott LaMorte (17:25). Frank Connelly (18:16), A-Born Etchison (18:39) and Daniel Bisceglie (18:42) rounded out the top five men.

Farley won the women's race easily in 18:47, with Gail Marino second in 21:44. Patricia O'Brien (22:10), Barbara Farley (22:41) and Lynda Ricciardone (30:42) finished third through fifth respectively.

Doud Auer, who had run a race yesterday, pulled away from a game Scott LaMorte in the second loop of this race. 14-year old Kristin Farley continues to improve, finishing sixth overall in 18:47. Congrats to 8-year old Ian Caddell who ran his first race in 28:11 and 11-year old Mike Carullo, who set yet another personal best in 23:03. Paul Forster broke 26:00 by less than one second, so we did give him the 25:59. Good job, Paul! Bobby Guidera then jokingly complained that I did not extend him the same courtesy when he ran 20:00 a few weeks back. The clock does not lie, Bobby! And Sean Dixon is not letting anyone hold his keys now, despite my offer. No one can drive off with them now, as a result.
