This is indeed sad news. I went to Farrell with his son Joe. Chippy was such a pleasant man, and I always have enjoyed this race. He would always look for me to run his race, and was understanding if I couldn't because of injury, illness or work. However, this year I was able to run for the first time in 3 years, and shook his hand in gratitude before I left that day. I'm sorry for this news, Rich.
