I conducted this same unofficial poll here on my Boston team's website as well as in SI. It looks like you guys are alot tougher on Lance than are my fellow Bostonians.
Staten Island = 11 respondents
4 said Lance will break 3 hrs.
5 said he will not
2 said he will DNF
Fastest time predicted: 2:54:08
Slowest time (besides DNF) predicted: 3:15
Boston = 25 respondents
17 said Lance will break 3 hrs.
6 said he would not
1 said he will DNF
Fastest time predicted: sub 2:24
Slowest time (besides DNF) predicted: 3:35
It's been an intereting poll, and brought some levity to the forum, as well as responses from people I haven't seen in a long time. It was good to have some discussion about an interesting topic.
Now, tomorrow is the day of reckoning. Whoever gets his time first, please post it here, as I won't be able to see the marathon, and will have to search for the results on the computer.
