U.S XC Nationals comes to one of the most famous Cross country courses in the nation, and they run a watered down, flat course around the fields. The course removed all of the backhills, only running up the freshman hill and avoiding the turn over the bridge/overpass. I'm sure there was a logistical reason (i.e. having to put together a piece-meal 12k course, for instance) for the omission of the backhills but I think it would have been great for all the thousands of high school and college runners (myself included)who have run the course to see our nation's best suffer the same trails.
