1. Drinking. You already know that alcohol abuse is a problem and that it can cause brain damage, memory loss and even death. Why not apply this technique when you cannot run due to injury? Drinking can also cause weight gain. Alcohol alone doesn't contain fat but it is packed with calories. And when you add in mixers, juice, sugar, and other ingredients, the calories can really add up. The average 12 oz. can of beer has about 148 calories. If you only have one beer a night, that's an extra 1,000 calories a week you're adding to your diet. Bear in mind though that is only one beer. I'm referring to having more than one. Kind of like the Shaeffer slogan. That means gaining more than a pound a month! So if your goal is to get in shape...first you have to get out of it.
