London Marathon To Feature NYC Marathon Rematch:
After New York's Tergat/Ramaala photo finish, London Marathon organizers have announced that the April 23, 2006 London Marathon will feature both Tergat and Ramaala as well as Haile Gebrselassie and others to be announced. Tergat's New York performance demonstrates that he is back in top form and ready to rumble at London. Tergat has run London in 2001 (2nd-2:08:15), 2002 (2nd - 2:05:48), 2003 (4th - 2:07:59) and 2005 (8th - 2:11:38); Ramaala has run London in 2003 (8th - 2:08:58) and 2005 (3rd - 2:08:32); Gebrsellasie ran his debut marathon in London 2002 (3rd - 2:06:35) and set the fastest marathon time of 2005 by running 2:06:20 in Amsterdam in October. Gebrsellasie signed a three-year deal to run London beginning in 2005, but was unable to run the April 2005 race due to Achilles tendon problems
