The new course for Scott's race is the following: The race starts on Clove Road at the new park; down Clove to Martlings, left on Martlings; just before the bridge, you make a right into the park, heading towards Forest Ave; before reaching Forest, left over the small bridge; heading up the hill, the path divides into 3 routes, one down along the lake, one up towards Royal Oak and one straight ahead towards Martling. Runners take the straight path towards Martling. Left on Martlings and across the bridge.
A Right back into the park, on the cemetary side. Stay on the path all the way down to and around the Ice Skating Rink. After going around the rink, you make a left before the basketball courts, where the fun run starts, and head around the ball field past the bathrooms. The 3 mile mark is just after the bathrooms and you will finish just beyond the Admin building. Water stops will be located at the 1 and 2 mile marks. There will be a clock at Mile 1 and of course, splits given at 2 and 3 miles. Sounds confusing but it should be fast. I might add that the race committee was forced to bring the race at least partially into the park because of police concerns about covering all the streets on the course.
