Took advantage of the early morning clouds and cool air. We passed through
various sceneries, from rolling hills in exclusive areas as well as through some less
fortunate ones. I welcome the Sundays because of the less travelled roads and
since many businesses are closed, they are empty parking lots for more
accessible waterstops.

We found some sidewalks for Lou to run on, finally. but only after first running on
the slanted shoulder and then trying out the grassy median. After 17 miles of running,
then a cycle of jogging and walking began in order to complete the day's mileage of 38.
So ice, ibuprophen and rest is on schedule so that we may continue tomorrow.

Yesterday we met Peter, originally from Boston, who lost his mother to breast
cancer. Today we met a young woman who had a cancerous lump that was found
after the delivery of her child. Perhaps the sign on the truck and the man running through
the streets draws attention to the curious as well as to those that have been through
hardships because of the disease. But I feel a sadness because either personally, or
through a friend or through a loved one, we share a horrible bond -- cancer.

'Til tomorrow, thanks.

Love Lou & Agnes
