We started out a little earlier this morning because of the prediction of
heavy rain. The morning skies were overcast with high humidity.
The long runs on a slanted concrete shoulder were starting to take a toll.
Lou was feeling a slight discomfort in his left Achiles. It took a bit longer to
warm up, however we were able to finish before the heavy rains.

We met a woman, B.J. Owens, just before Pineda Crossing. She was curious about
what we were doing after seeing the sign on the truck. We explained to her
that we are trying to tell people that there should be a higher sense of urgency
regarding breast cancer research. She then thanked us and accepted a flyer.
It's heartwarmimg when people drive up to us to say thank you.

Leave it up to Lou to find time to play in the sand. Because of the
construction work going on, there was a lane closed off for a few miles
covered with sand. Perfect for Lou, a lane to himself with hard packed sand.

There is a nice article in the Vero Beach Press Journal by Nicole Berner, the
reporter who interviewed us yesterday. You can log on to www.pressjpurnal.com
for the article in the Vero Beach Local News. Thanks, Nicole and Joan.

The Sunrunners Club called and will be joinomg us to run in the Vero
Beach area on A1A. Also received a call from the Stuart Runners, they are
also interested in meeting and running with us through their town.

Checked A1A out in Melbourne but waterstops were not easily accessible, so
Lou opted to return to Route 1 for today. Mileage for today is 48.

'Til tomorrow.

Love, Lou & Agnes
