Our day started as a hot, sunny, muggy day. It was hot enough that we
received a few waves through the sunroofs of air conditioned cars. After the
first hour of running, Lou rung out his tee shirt and replaced it with a singlet:
it was time to move. We were fortunate enough to be far away from the storm, yet
we welcomed the slight shower that did come our way.

At a Comfort Inn, we met Betty and her husband Hagen. Betty is a hotel manager as well
as a breast cancer survivor. Hagen is a Vietnam vet. They were thankful for what this
run represents. They accepted the information cards on breast cancer from us and promised
to place them in the rooms of their hotel.

We now have less than 200 miles to go to Miami. We received a call from a reporter from the Vero Beach Journal
(sorry, I don't remember her name), and she interviewed us by phone. We are so thankful for the people who have
shown interest in our undertaking and have contacted the press down here on our behalf.

Mileage total for today is 46. We are just past Cocoa Beach. Lou had his I-Hop blueberry pancakes
and now it's time for rest.

Goodnight all. Love Lou & Agnes
