We crossed another state line and are now in Savannah, Georgia.
The road to Savannah (Route 17) was accompanied by a hot strong sun
and a headwind once we neared the bridge. The sky was clear of any clouds,
leaving only the sun to beat down on any brave soul challenging her by running
in her presence. Besides Lou, there were a few other souls outdoors, riding their bikes.

I am amazed at what keeps him going for 25 days, in this heat and with these road
conditions. He has run more than a marathon a day since day one. I keep asking him,
"How do you feel? and "How do you do it?" After Washington, we were so
disappointed, but Lou still keeps going out there day after day. I think as runners,
we can appreciate the distance that this man has ran so far. I cannot imagine how it
would feel to run 2 marathons back to back, much less 25. I am watching this event take
place with my own eyes and I am in awe. I think that the thought of saving a life or two
of the 190,000 women to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year may be what keeps
him motivated.

Anyway, even after 40 miles today, he still beat me to the laptop. I do know one thing,
we both look forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks, you keep us both going.

Love, Lou and Agnes
