We started out at 10 a.m. today. Contacted Duke University; our contact there,
Sarah Busby, arranged to meet us on the road. Duke University is working hard
to make progress in their cancer research. What a wonderful gesture for them to come
out and greet us.

Nothing unusual on the road today. But many people could not believe that we
have come running from New York. A trucker parked in his truck sitting next
to our truck looked out the window to comment on how hot it was. When he
realized that Lou was running for breast cancer, he said that his sister had
breast cancer. He couldn't believe that this run originated in New York
especially during this hot weather.

The shoulder is down to 6 inches and they haven't cut the grass yet.
Weather is hot and muggy; hit high 80's. Mileage total for today is 34.
We stopped in Godwin, which is 17 miles from Fayetteville. Storms in the area,
have to cut it short -- will e-mail & answer forum at another time.
Don't want to lose the modem connection now.

Take care,
Love Lou and Agnes
