Started out at 9:50am. It was cloudy and 81 degrees to start; the temp later rose to 88,
and 91% humidity. The overcast felt good to Lou, he actually picked up the pace.

Sundays down here are very quiet, so we tiptoed by Route 301; even the dogs
refused to chase him today. Must be a day of rest for dogs too. Stll looking for a
Runners World or something -- the Nike trail shoes are begging for a burial.
Lou has flats, but he only wants to use them after 700 miles or so. We are
trying to locate Saucony Hurricanes, right now the Nikes are sleeping
outside.

People are noticing Lou running from town to town as they are driving around.
They become curious and ask, "How long does he run?" Then I get the opportunity
to educate them on the importance of early detection, and they always thank us for
what we are doing for women. They're amazed that people like us do care.
It's a nice feeling.

We got done early today: 32 miles, bringing us past 500 (510.9)
Only 889 to go. We are now in Selma/Smithfield, North Carolina.

Thanks again for all your e-mails, it's the best part of the day after
Running.

See ya, Love Lou and Agnes
