Week #47(Or should I say race) of the Cargo Cafe Fun Run Millennium Challenge continued last week and Kari Proffitt increased her lead to a meagher 7 points with a win over second placer Mary Curran. Both must race on Christmas and the season finale on January 1st. to increase their odds on winning. Stay Tuned.
Shawn Williams won again but it might be a matter of to little to late as he is only in 43rd. place. (Top 25 win prizes) Rich Orazem finished in second place and holds down place # 9.
The Cargo Cafe Millennium Challenge concludes next Sat. Jan. 1st. with the 3 mile finale starting at 11 A.M. on the Martlings Ave. side of Clove Lakes Park.Registration and post race party will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall 1/4 of a mile from the park on Martlings/Manor Road.I ordered 150 shirts and that will be it.The shirt is very funny and unique and I guarantee you will remember it 5 years from now.If you want to pre enter you may drop off your entry at 58 Silver Lake Road(Mailbox) up to race day.Pre Entry fee is $10 SIAC member/$12 others. Race day is $15 for all. Baby sitting service is available free as a courtesy to parents who don't want their kids to freeze during the race.
577 people have participated in the year long series. I want to thank our sponsor Dave Rabin from the Cargo Cafe. I also want to thank Rich Re for all his hard work in posting the results, Tom Hart for being the Fun Run Coordinator, Glen for helping at the finish line most every week, Carol Hart(No relation) who helps and puts up with Tommy, George Kochman of the Advance who has posted the results monthly in his column, and the officers of the SIAC who have made this special event happen.

Happy Holidays
